According to an official statement, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister DushyantChautala had requested the Centre to pay GST compensation of Rs 5,840 crore at the earliest. He had demanded that revenue loss should be compensated even after the period of 5 years of GST, in 2022. He had also said that state used to get maximum revenue in the form of tax on products but with the implementation of GST, the revenue collection has been adversely affected.
