GST tax evasion has been detected by officers of anti-evasion branch of Rangareddy Central GST Commissioinerate. On scrutiny, it came to light that manufacturers of glass products have evaded Rs.4 crores during July 2017 to March 2020. It was also found that GST amounting Rs.2.28crores has been collected by customers but nor deposited to the government. The Managing Director has also admitted the offence committed. He was arrested on 15th September and was granted bail .
