Since October, the Centre has borrowed Rs.42,000Crore to meet the GST shortfall. On Monday, the latest instalment has been released of Rs.6000 Crore to states. Out of such amount, Rs.5516.60Crore has been released to 23 states and remaining to 3 UTs. The five states Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim do not have any gap in revenue on account of GST implementation.
