Chartered Accountant bodies have urged FM to extend deadlines for IT returns, GST and other audit forms due to COVID-19. In the latest representation, they have asked to extend the deadline to 31.03.2021 for A.Y. 2020-21. The current date for filing of GSTR-9 and 9C for F.Y. 2018-19 and 2019-20 is 31.12.2020. they have also urged to extend GST Annual return date to 31.03.2021.
