Call on bringing fuels under GST to be taken closer to GST Council meet: Sitharaman

Finance Minister has said that in coming GST Council meeting she might take a call to bring petrol and diesel under GST. FM said while  interacting with journalists at Indian Women’s Press Corps that “there is enough case to say that prices should be down, it’s a burden”. She further said that it is GST Council’s call to take final decision. She said that states should also decide on the issue because it is not only the Centre that has a control over petroleum products.
