In the fake GST invoices fraud, the DGGI had apprehended 357 people comprising 12 Chartered Accountants (CA), an advocate, and a company secretary (CS). The Revenue Department had informed that two more CAs were arrested for running fake GST invoice scams through fictitious companies. According to sources, the Department had e booked around 3,500 cases against 10,400 fake GSTIN firms unearthed, as yet.
