The senior Bangalore Turf Club steward V Harimohan Naidu told TOI that Horse racing is just like any other job sector and not just the glamour of racing. The imposition of 28% GST has taken away the nearly one-third of this sector’s earnings, particularly farming. Breeders have been affected the most by putting this sector under the highest slab rate. Further, GST on sale of horses has worsen the conditions.
