An official of the Central Goods and Service Tax (CGST) of Kolkata zone had said that GST collection in West Bengal had dropped marginally in June 2020. In July, 2019 the collection was ₹1416.38 crore and it had slightly declined to ₹1,367.50 crore in the same month this year. According to data available with the CGST Kolkata zone office, GST collections in April and May this year was ₹345 crore and ₹745 crore respectively.
