Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has supported the calls for reduction of GST on two wheelers saying that it would act as a ‘tailwind’ for reviving the sector. A senior official of the Japanese two-wheeler major said that due to economic slowdown, the growth of the sector has been hampered and any move which results in increasing the affordability of the buyer then such move shall be introduced. The two-wheeler industry has been demanding GST reduction from 28% to 18%.
