In the state of Gujarat more than 60 biodiesel companies are under the scanner after a raid operation to control the illegal and spurious sale of biodiesel was carried out. A team of over 360 officials of the SGST department, civil supplies department, Gujarat PollutionControl Board (GPCB) and police are carryingout the search and strikeoperation on 60 biodiesel manufacturingcompanies across the state. Majority of the biodiesel companies are in Saurashtra and South Gujarat.Association (FGPDA) had protested against thealleged inaction of oil companies overthe illegal sale of spurious biodiesel.
