Nagpur unit of the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) has busted a racket of fake invoices of over Rs 131 crore and fraudulent input tax credit of over Rs 26 crore. A release by DGGI stated that three people were involved in supplying labour and providing contract services. The fraud came into light when a search was conducted in remote areas of Chandrapur district against a taxpayer who was allegedly involved in generating fake invoices.
