Ludhiana Central GST Commissionerate had GST racket of 32 bogus firms that claimed fake ITC to the tune of Rs. 65 crore via fake bills worth ₹427 crore. The fraud was managed by Gurbax Lal, alias Happy Nagpal. They operated from Gurbax and also handled bank transactions for all the bogus entities. The Principal Commissioner CGST commissionerate had informed that Rajinder had created two fake companies in his name and claimed ITC worth ₹3.43 crore on the basis of GST invoices worth ₹21 crore. A case has been registered against Gurbax and his two accomplices.
