The Delhi High Court had allowed Samsonite to deposit the principal profiteered amount of Rs. 21.2 croresin 6 equal monthly installments. The petitioner had challenged the constitutional validity of and legality of the National Anti-Profiteering Authority.  Samsonite is a manufacturer of American Tourister travel bags. It has been orderd to pay up Rs 25.73 crore for charging higher taxes despite GST reduction from 28% to 18% in 2017.
