Goa has informed Centre to borrow funds from RBI to meet GST compensation fall. The Chief minister Pramod Sawant has written to Union Finance minister regarding its preference to opt for Option 1. Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho, Goa’s representative of the GST council has told that Option 1 has two-fold benefits to the stateas it would allow Goa to obtaincrucial funds without additional repayment stress. If they opt for Option 2, the interest would be higher.
