For uninterrupted delivery of essential services to the citizens amid COVID-19 pandemic an to support the local bodies in the state, the Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister had urged the Union Finance Minister to release GST Compensation. The state Finance Minister and other ministers of the state had demanded to release the pending Rs 3,832.89 crore GST compensation and other grants to the state, besides extra funds in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
