Due to coronavirus, transactions have been hit and ATM Industry had demanded lowering GST rate. The Confederation of ATM Industry (CATMi) had written to the Finance Minister that it had been recognised as a crucial player to further financial inclusion. It had urged for increase in ATM interchange rates, citing recommendations by a committee. The body had said that it requires a stimulus package to keep afloat and augment the banking system in the country.
