Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac has said that Centre should take initiative on settling the issue of quantum of borrowing to fund GST shortfall. Centre should decide on how much to borrow, he tweeted. The Centre has said that it will borrow Rs.1.1 Lakh crore from the market to compensate the states and act as an intermediary. “Higher borrowing will not affect centre’s FD (fiscal deficit). Fears of crowding out private investment is misplaced in recession,” Isaac tweeted.
