According to figures released by Finance Ministry, gross GST collection of the UT Administration stood at Rs138.52 crore in August. An official of the Excise and Taxation Department said the UT would get nearly Rs100 crore of the gross revenue collected. On decline in August collection, the official had said that the reason was relaxation given by government in return filing to taxpayers with aggregate turnover upto 5 crore.
