The five states not ruled by BJP have rejected GST Council meeting’s proposal regarding states’s borrowing. Chhattisgarh finance minister T.S. Singh Deo said in a tweet that Governments of Punjab, Delhi, Kerala, Telangana and West Bengal have decided to reject the proposal. He further said that instead of pushing the proposal on states, the Council should proceed with consensus.
