A PwC report said that Centre may allow Indian Inc to deposit GST on cash basis. The Government could consider suspending GST payments for select sectors during the COVID-19 period. It said that Government might issue guidelines on these critical issues. The government can also introduce a scheme under the GST regime for voluntary disclosure of tax payments before the taxpayer undergoes GST audits.
