Ponnaiyan, Vice-Chairman, State Development Policy Council (SDPC), said that state-government should recommend to the Centre to reduce GST for the construction sector. He further said that current bank interest rate at 14% for the economically weaker section is also quite heavy. Recommendation should also be made to government to lower such rate.
