E-invoicing will not be applicable on those who deal in business to consumer supplies or import bills of entries. On the other hand, special economic zone units, banking companies, insurers, goods transport agencies and passenger transport companies will be exempt from using them. The GSTIN has also issued frequently asked questions on e-invoicing. GSTN has also clarified that taxpayers need to have updated version to use this facility.
