The GST authorities have arrested 140 persons which includes five CAs for issuing fake invoices. Since second week of November, the DGGI have exposed cases of GST evasion by way of transporting under-valued and unaccounted goods. Unaccounted goods have also been seized during surveys. 488 cases against 4,839 fake entities have been booked so far.
