The claims of 2128 had been processed by Karnataka Central Tax Zone . Also, it had disbursed ₹1,702 crore as GST refunds during the lockdown period (March 24 to May 31) as informed in a note issued by the office of the principal chief commissioner of central tax. During April to May 2020, the zone had issued more than 2,600 new GST registrations. During April-May the GST Sevakendra at the zonal headquarters addressed 54 tax payers’ queries through email and 105 queries through the WhatsAppSeva.
