The Central Government had released Rs 4,313 crore towards the Goods and Services Tax (GST) component for December 2019-February 2020. One of the state’s official had said that GST component would help the state to revive. Apart from this, the state government had also said that strict action would be taken up against the illegal transport of goods. The sales tax on fuel had dropped sharply due to lockdown since restrictions were imposed on the movement vehicles.
