The Khadki Cantonment Board is going to save its GST that it pays to central and state governments for the services its provides. The Chief Executive officer, Pramod Kumar Singh of KCB said that there are various provisions under which the autonomous municipal body can be exempted from GST, He further said that Board has already sought exemption from the engineering section, sewage treatment plant maintenance and crematorium.” Singh further said that saving of money can help the Board to revive from the financial crises. Another official said that KCB has also sought Rs 29 crore from the ordnance factory that owes another Rs 2.20 crore for the electricity bills pending since 2015.
