On Monday, the Revenue Department has informed that data analytics has shown that certain people are showing turnover of crores of rupees in GST and not paying income tax. The Department has informed that there would be no change in the reporting requirement with the display of GST turnover data in Form 26AS for honest taxpayers. It further said that there can be a difference in GSTR-3Bs filed and the GST shown in the Form 26AS. But it can never be that SGT turnover is shown GST turnover is in crores while no income tax has been paid.
