In the month of July, State-wise Goods & Services Tax (GST) collections have shown an 11.1 percent month-on-month dip in most states. GST collections account for almost 60 percent of states’ revenues. The GST data shows that such dip is true for both consumer and manufacturing states. Consuming states like Punjab and Kerala saw 11.5 percent and 13.8 percent fall in collections month-on-month, respectively. GST Collections in manufacturing states like Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu fell 19.8 percent and 7.8 percentMoM, respectively.
