The GST collections from April to July 2020 were 83.10% and Chandigarh has topped the list in terms of return filing. Gujarat and Punjab are at second spot with 81.44% and 81.10% GST collections, respectively. the UT excise and taxation department received Rs 14 crore, Rs 42 crore, Rs 73 crore and Rs 109 crore in GST in the months of April, May, June and July, respectively. According to an official Around 30,000 commercial units fall in the GST net in the UT and out of these nearly 16,500 pay tax to the excise and taxation department of the UT administration.
