The current financial year may end with a 30 percent drop in Goods and Service Tax (GST) collections. This would be difficult for the Centre since it is already burdened with revenue pressures. This comes despite the fact that GST collections stood at Rs 1.05 lakh crore in October, 10.2 percent higher than the collections in October 2019.
